Day #30: Your favorite Marvel Event
House of M. If you didn’t know, I LOVE the X-Men, so when I saw this series back in the day, I had to read it. Man. It was a great lead into the next 5+ years of X-Men. Even today, this event is still playing it’s part. God damn Brian Michael Bendis… great job.
And this is my last 30 Days Of Marvel post… Now I’ll have to find another reason to post about Marvel and X-Men.

Day #29: Your favorite series you would suggest to read
Easy: The Incredible Hercules. I love the X-Men and I always suggest it, but The Incredible Hercules is consistently awesome from start to finish. Read it.

Day #26: Your favorite elementalist

Elementalist? I’m going to have to go with Magneto, as he can make wormholes and pull Kitty Pryde back from space. The. End.

Day #25: Your favorite video game

Definitely going with X-Men the arcade game. I spent tons of hours playing this back in the day at Chuck E. Cheese in Grand Rapids. Such a fun game. I got a copy of the MAME file a year or two ago and played the shit out of this game. Colossus and Nightcrawler were my favorite to play as…

Day #21: The most memorable death
Colossus. I remember picking up X-Men Dream’s End which was a mix-mash of X-Men comics revolving around the Legacy Virus and man… when Colossus sacrificed himself to save everyone, it blew me away. Such a great character, and an even greater death.

Day #19: Your least favorite comic to screen character adaptation

Anna Paquin as Rogue. Blah. She just ruined the character for me. I blame her and the writers… what a bad choice.

YES! Got a free-sketch from Dennis Calero of this. Such an awesome portrayal of Gambit.

Day #14: Your favorite romance

As if this wasn’t obvious at this point: Rogue & Gambit. I don’t know what else to say here other than the fact that this is the most tragic romance ever. The end. Love these two.

Runners up:

  • Gert & Chase (of Runaways)
  • Colossus & Kitty Pryde
  • Spider-Man & Black Cat

Day #13: Your least favorite character
God damn it. This is so, so easy: Jubilee. I’ve hated her since I’ve known of the X-Men. Despite people’s love for her in and out of the comic, I can not stand her character’s power and her attitude. Nothing more I can say here other than screw that yellow jacket of hers.

Day #9: Your favorite classic character
I have this strange love for the classic X-Men character, Banshee. He’s such a bad ass, and his daughter, Siryn, is by far one of the cooler modern X-Men. His story, from the comics to the animated, TV show is coated in family struggle and Irish-ness. I came across this character back when I read one of my first X-Men comics (Giant Size X-Men #1) and I’ve always held him in my heart as one of the best X-Men there has ever been.

    Day #5: Your favorite team
Obviously: The X-Men.
I’ve been an X-Men fan since I was a child and all of their books lie within my #1 favorite Marvel “mini-universe.” I buy 85% of the X-Men books (skipping mini-series/one-shots I deem “blah”) and love all 187 of those remaining X-Men. I’ve seen them through all sorts of craziness, and I’ve only been reading comics from the last decade on. Needless to say, the X-Men will always have a place in my heart.
